The curator of the artistic exhibition on the origins of the Costa Brava at the Girona Art Museum, Mariona Seguranyes, explains one of the paintings that can be seen in the temporary exhibition

The Girona Art Museum opens this weekend the temporary exposureCosta Brava. The discovery of paradise‘, where you can check the influence that some painters had in the creation of the concept and brand of the Costa Brava. The exhibition includes around sixty works, some of them unpublished, by painters such as Joan Llaverias, Modest Urgell, Rafael Durancamps and Salvador Dalí. The exhibition will have one extension to the Empordà Museum de Figueres that will concentrate on the authors who settled in the head of Creus and Cadaqués. This temporary exhibition also shows an environmental sensitivity of the artists who made a convention in 1935 to avoid damaging the territory with more constructions.
