“D’Artagnan. The Three Musketeers by Martin Bourboulon is a truly French version of the legendary text. Critics of Alexandre Dumas Sr. accused him of disrespect for historical truth. But he did not hide the fact that he usually used history only “like a nail on which he hung his picture.”
