Secretary General of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep grief over the death of Shahzada Mia, founding organizing secretary of Patuakhali district BNP and former convenor and former senior vice-president of Baufal upazila BNP.
He expressed his grief in a condolence message on Tuesday (April 18) night.
Earlier this morning Shahzada Mia died while undergoing treatment at Baufal Hospital. He was 75 years old.
In his condolence message, Mirza Fakhrul said, inspired by the Bangladeshi nationalist philosophy, the late Shahazada Mia was involved in the movement for the basic and democratic rights of people against all undemocratic forces during her lifetime. As a strong organizer, he has made relentless efforts to put Patuakhali District, Baufal Upazila and Thana BNP on a well-organized and strong foundation. He was a very humble and honorable man.
He said that the late Shahazada Mia, who believed in the multi-party democracy and Bangladeshi nationalist politics introduced by Ziaur Rahman, was steadfast towards party ideals throughout his life. With his death, Patuakhali BNP lost an efficient, hardworking and dedicated organizer to implement the ideals of Shahid Zia. My deepest condolences to his bereaved family on his death.
BNP General Secretary Shahazada prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul of Mia and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, well-wishers and well-wishers.
