The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is working on the issue of evacuating Ukrainians who have found themselves in the war zone in Sudan – there is already a list of those willing to leave the country, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko on Facebook, writes UNN.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine keeps under special control the issue of ensuring the safety of Ukrainian citizens in Sudan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Ukraine in Egypt and other relevant agencies are currently taking active measures to evacuate Ukrainians who have found themselves in the war zone. In particular, a list of persons who have been found desire to leave the country, logistical routes and security aspects are being worked out,” wrote the MFA official.

According to him, the Ukrainian side also maintains contact with international partners.

“We will be able to provide more details about the evacuation as soon as it is safe for citizens,” said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He also provided a list of contacts for obtaining consular assistance to Ukrainians in Sudan.
