Two passengers were killed when a motorcycle hit a U-turn bus at Bhaluka in Mymensingh. One person was seriously injured in this incident.
The accident took place on Friday (April 28) around 10:30 pm in the industrial police office area of Bharadoba on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.
The deceased were identified as Manik (30) son of Chamir Uddin of Mamarishpur village of Mallikbari union of the upazila and Dilip son of Humayun Mia of the same village. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhardoba Highway Police Station Riyad Mahmood confirmed this to Jago News.
He said that a bus bound for Dhaka from Mymensingh came to Shilpa police office area in Bharadoba and was taking the U-turn to go back to Mymensingh. Meanwhile, a speeding motorcycle coming to Mymensingh hit the bus. Two died on the spot.
Locals rescued a seriously injured person and took him to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty there shifted him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
OC Riyad Mahmud also said that two bodies have been recovered. Legal action is under process in this incident.
