“Feeding the world of tomorrow”… The ambition is vast for the 16th edition of Tous à l’Opéra! scheduled for May 5, 6 and 7. “Greening operatic productions”, “open the door to protean creations”… “The stakes are high; it is a question of demolishing the belief, tenacious, although weakened, according to which the world of the Opera would have disconnected from society”indicates in the program the Réunion des Opéras de France.

Nearly 30 institutions from this collective are taking part in the operation, more than ever anxious to make themselves better known – and loved – by the general public, in a worrying economic context. Many houses, from Lyon to Rouen and from Bordeaux to Strasbourg, have had to reduce their programming, or even resolve to partially close their rooms, faced with rising costs (energy in particular), while revenues and subsidies are stagnating.
