The German economy is in the second Corona year, the economy has recently deteriorated significantly – but the feared bankruptcy wave has so far failed to materialize. According to estimates by the credit agency Creditreform, the number of company bankruptcies this year has even fallen by 10.8 percent to a record low of 14,300 cases. Since the introduction of the Insolvency Ordinance in 1999, there have never been so few bankruptcies reported.
