Advertising campaigns that appeal to emotion are among the most affective. But not everything is fine. A young woman denounces the notification she received from a well-known second-hand buying and selling application for the Mother’s Day. The message simulated the formula with which missed calls are presented on the mobile phone and put: “Mom. Missed call. He’s calling you to sell what you don’t use.”

The woman was quick to comment on the situation on her social networks and wrote to the company to complain. “My mother died 5 years ago. Today my heart almost burst when I received this notification”he commented. And he adds: “I don’t know, maybe he’s not very successful. Give it a spin.”

She was not the only one who showed her displeasure with this notification: “Mine died in October and I felt the same as you…”. There are many people who believe that these types of campaigns are not successful. “The same thing happened to me and my heart skipped a beat, I think all brands should think about these ads on both mother’s and father’s days when they are no longer with us.”

There are also those who consider that these things should not be taken seriously. “How heavy you are, it was Mother’s Day and it was a notification for marketing. They make generalizations for certain things, you don’t have to put the tip on everything and take it personally,” they comment.
