An old man named Syed Khan (65) was shot dead in a clash between two sides in Chanpara of Rupganj, Narayanganj. He was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital.
On Wednesday (May 10) around 2 pm, two sides clashed over dominance in Chanpara. Syed Khan was shot. He was shot in the chest.
Julhas, the son of the injured person, said, “My father works as a daily labourer.” He was standing in a street breaking bricks in Chanpara area. Meanwhile, there was an incident of gunfire between Zainal and Samser’s group in that area. A bullet hit my father in the chest.

He also said that our village is in Hijla Upazila of Barisal. We live in the present Chanpara area of Rupganj.
DMK Hospital Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia said that a day laborer who was shot in the clash between two sides from Rupganj Chanpara was brought to Dhaka Medical. He is being treated.
