Dhaka: India lost to Japan in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions Trophy Hockey. In the group stage, India lost to Japan by six goals to nil.

Japan won by five goals to three. Shota Yamada, Reiki Fujishima, Yoshiki Krisita, Kozi Kawabe and Oka Rimo scored for Japan. For India, Dilpreet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Hardik Singh shook the net. In the match for third place, India will face Pakistan.
