More than 40 shows and a commitment to contemporary circus at the 28th Circus Fair on Carrer de la Bisbal d’Empordà

The Street Circus Fair de la Bisbal d’Empordà presented its 28th edition this Tuesday. This year the contest presents more than 40 shows spread over twenty stages in the capital of the Baix Empordà, in an edition marked by a “firm” commitment to contemporary circus. A total of 35 companies will bring thousands of people to La Bisbal, in what is one of the town’s biggest events. This year, in addition, Fira Bar is being restored, which brings shows to the different bars of the city and which also serves as a tribute to one of its promoters, in John Bofillon the tenth anniversary of his death.

In addition, and as it was done last year, the organization bets on the sustainability of the event, adapting the capacities to the human resources that the event has, based on the voluntariness of Bisbalen men and women. As always most shows will be free, although some of the payment proposals will remain, both in the afternoons and at night. This, together with limited capacities, allows guarantee the comfort of the public.

From the organization, taking into account the foreseeable high temperatures, they have searched shaded areas where to be able to do the shows and they point out that those who don’t have one will be enabled in some way.

This edition of the Fira de Circ al Carrer premieres two new spaces. Specifically, the Pere Plaja Football Field and the space behind it are on Carrer Ample, which in this way join the Plaça de la Pietat (Benet Mercader), the Mas Clarà School track, the Passeig Marimon Asprer, the Jutjats car park, Carreras Dagas square, Germans Sitjar square, Plaça Major, Terracota exteriors, the Museum, Castell square (in front of Palau Castle and in front of the Town Hall), the Park March 8 and Sardana square.
