“Agriculture is very important. That’s why the government supports it. It’s credit, it’s Plano Crop. Now, how can we also support agro? Avoiding deforestation. Because what’s going to happen right here, tomorrow: ‘If it’s an area of deforestation, environmental destruction, let the cattle pass, we’re not going to buy meat, soy, corn’”, he commented.
“So the government is being careful. On the one hand, a strategic sector is supported, in which Brazil is the champion in terms of competitiveness. And it is not agriculture that causes destruction in the Amazon, it is land grabbers, illegal prospectors”, added the Vice President of the Republic.
In the morning, Lula participated in the opening of the agribusiness fair Bahia Farm Show, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA), and stated that being on the side of the environment is not being an enemy of agribusiness.

Alckmin talks about conflicts between legislative and executive
