The Ministry of Justice of Belarus refused to re-register the Belarusian Green Party. The reason was the lack of a list of party members, writes “Yevraradyyo”.
The Ministry of Justice recalled that this year the registration rules have changed. And now, in addition to the standard application and a package of documents, it is necessary to provide not only information on the number of party members, but also a list of all members.
This list should contain “the last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, citizenship, place of residence, place of work (study), contact phone number of each member of the party.”
The Greens say they will appeal the decision. They fundamentally did not provide a list of members – they referred to the law “On the Protection of Personal Data”.
Also, the Belarusian party “A Just World” did not provide lists of members.
