Russian energy facilities are subject to a large number of DDoS attacks, said Deputy Energy Minister Eduard Sheremetsev.

“Generally [DDoS] There are a lot of attacks, their volume and load is unprecedented lately, as you understand,” informed Sheremetsev RTVI.

According to him, throughout the year, the Ministry of Energy “almost does not live a day” without cyber attacks. However, there are no significant results and consequences. “I hope this will continue in the future, and we will feel more comfortable,” Sheremetsev concluded.

DDoS attacks occur against the background of the transition of the fuel and energy complex from imported software to domestic software, RTVI reports.

Earlier, Rostelecom’s vice president for information security, Igor Lyapunov, said that DDoS attacks on Russia do not achieve an effect, despite their number. According to him, the volume of cyber attacks on the country’s facilities is not decreasing, but Russia is coping with them more and more effectively.
