In Nicaragua, the Russian auto industry is in great demand and is considered a privileged commodity. “Russian car brands have successfully established themselves in the Latin American market, the models provide excellent value for money. It is worth noting that the Russian auto industry in Nicaragua is in great demand and its cars are a privileged commodity,” Obregon said.
According to him, Russian trucks and passenger cars show high levels of safety and comfort. They are used in agriculture, mining, as well as in the field of national security protection. Nicaragua will soon receive 450 buses from GAZ, the minister said.
Earlier, the president of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, announced the plans of the domestic automaker to export 10,000–15,000 Lada cars in 2023, and up to 50,000 in 2024. According to him, the company has production in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, it is ready for launch, but there it is necessary to take “certain state measures for technical regulation.” In February, Sokolov said that “AvtoVAZ» expects exports to start recovering in 2023. The company plans to export up to 30,000 vehicles in 2023.
