He reiterated that “in Chiapas, our obligation is to take care of the people, everyone, without any distinction or condition to attend to urgent needs and all others, in what refers to security. Our main task is to keep the people of Chiapas calm.”

He asked the population “to walk the path of justice and avoid committing acts that put people’s lives at risk. We jointly call on all the authorities of the three levels of government to the people of Chiapas that we are working and that we will continue like this, that we will not lower our guard, because what we want with all our hearts is that we live in peace, in a calm, in harmony and that objective is only achieved when there is true harmony”.

Meanwhile, relatives of the 16 SSyPC workers maintain the blockade in the Libramiento Sur of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, in front of the facilities of that unit, as well as a protest in front of the state police checkpoint located in Chiapa de Corzo to demand its location.

With banners they ask that Governor Rutilio Escandón dismiss the officials so that their relatives can return soon. “16 lives are worth more than three jobs,” reads one of them.
