Local Newspaper Smålänningen Celebrates 100 Years of Informing the Community
Smålänningen, a local newspaper serving the communities of Ljungby, Markaryd, and Älmhult, is marking its centennial anniversary this year. Founded in 1921 by Elfrid Dürango, the newspaper has evolved and expanded over the years to become a vital source of news and information for its readers.
What started as a small publication has now grown into a significant media outlet, distributing more than 12,000 copies and reaching around 35,000 readers.
