In the US state of Florida, a tiger was shot dead after biting an employee who trespassed into a cage.
A contract worker who came to clean the toilets at the Naples Zoo has trespassed into a restricted area and tried to feed a Malaysian tiger.
The tiger grabbed the young man’s hand tightly, dragged him into the cage and bit him. The police officer rushed to the spot and shot the tiger as he could not release the youth’s hand from the tiger’s mouth.
The 8-year-old Malaysian tiger died tragically. The injured youth has been admitted to the hospital.
