Dealers in Moscow and the Moscow region responded to AvtoVAZ’s demands by lowering prices for Lada Vesta, writes “Autonews”.
A month ago, the correspondent of the publication visited three Lada car dealerships under the guise of an ordinary buyer, having found out that the dealers’ prices for the updated Lada Vesta NG significantly exceed those recommended by the manufacturer, the sellers explained this by a shortage of cars.
After that “AvtoVAZ”said that he would conduct an audit with respect to three dealerships in Moscow – Avtogermes, Torgmash and Tekhinkom. At the same time, the shipment of new Lada Vesta cars to him was suspended for the period of the inspection. The automaker threatened its partners with sanctions in case of violation of dealer agreements.
A month later, the Autonews journalist again visited three (but already different) showrooms in Moscow and the Moscow region. In the Moscow showroom, the price tags did not differ from those recommended, but did not fully correspond to the configuration. In one of the showrooms near Moscow, the price tag for the basic version was slightly overestimated (by 20,000 rubles at a recommended price of 1.259 million rubles), and in another it was underestimated (by 31,300 rubles at a recommended price of 1.208 million rubles) for a white sedan. All three salons confirmed that all Lada Vesta models come with air conditioning, ABS and two airbags.
Sales of Lada Vesta NG (new generation) began on June 9, 2023. The initial price was 1.239 million rubles. Production has been established at the site in Togliatti.
As Vedomosti wrote earlier, new passenger cars will rise in price in the summer-autumn of 2023 by an average of 5–10% due to the continued strengthening of the exchange rates of the main currencies used to purchase components and finished cars since June.
