After a spectacular start to the season in Ibiza, the Wing Foil Spain Series has not yet left the Balearic Islands and arrives on the island of Mallorca to contest the second round of the national wing foil race circuit on July 15 and 16

The secluded cove of Es Caló de Sant Antoni will once again host the wing foil fleet in what will mark the third consecutive year of competition in these waters. Thanks to the unconditional support of Club Nàutic S’Arenal, this sport, which is becoming more and more fashionable among fans of sea sports, will have its opportunity to be visible and sailors, both from the Balearic Islands and from the peninsula, will be able to enjoy putting practice your favorite sport in the unbeatable waters of the bay of Palma.

The Club Nàutic S’Arenal has always opted for this sport since the beginning of the circuit, and this is demonstrated by the statements of the club’s manager, Ferran Muniesa: «As always for us it is a pleasure to be in this circuit, which we have been doing for a few years now. We are lucky that in Es Caló we have a large number of people who practice wing foiling and other sports such as windsurfing and paddle surfing, so we consider it a perfect place for competition. We hope there will be good weather, which seems to be the case, and that people can enjoy a good weekend of competition.”

The wind forecast is mild, between 10 and 12 knots with occasional gusts of 15 to 17 knots, therefore, if this forecast is maintained and fulfilled, the technical and strategic skills of the participants in the regatta course will be put to the test. .

The Italian Julián López, settling in Mallorca, will have to master the Mallorcan attack to perfection to maintain the lead in the general classification and prevent Miguel Angel Llodra, also a Mallorcan, from snatching the provisional crown, since Llodrá is currently in second place in the general just 3.2 points behind López.

After the days of competition, the sailors will be able to rest and cool off at the Es Caló Surf School & Drinks beach bar and replenish their strength with typical Mallorcan gastronomy products such as the coca salted trampó or the famous Mallorcan ensaimada.
