Kozhikode: A son-in-law has been arrested in a case of seriously injuring his mother-in-law. Chundemmal Lijin (25), a resident of Kozhikode Valayam Kallunira was arrested. Mahija (48), a resident of Valarpamkandi Puzhakkal, is undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon. Police said the attack was caused by a family quarrel. Lijin had bought a cake for his estranged wife on New Year’s Eve.
