“Skills of medical aid and local orientation will be needed in hiking or crisis situations. Knowledge of mine safety will help to properly handle explosive objects and save life and health. Videographers, surveyors, archaeologists and many other specialists use UAV control skills in their professional activities,” the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine notes.
For the pilot training, the ministry will choose schools from different regions of Ukraine, and for teachers, they plan to hold a special course with the involvement of international and public organizations that have experience in teaching adults.
In Russian schools, starting September 1, 2023, the curriculum of the subject “Fundamentals of Life Safety” (ABJ) will change. Primary military training, which was removed from the school curriculum in the nineties, will be returned to her.
The new block is called “Elements of initial military training” in the textbooks of the National Academy of Sciences for the 10th grade. Other sections of the textbook related to military service are also expanded and provided with details, in particular, about military professions.
The 11th grade textbook tells more about conscription. As a result of the 45-minute classes, schoolchildren should develop “the formation of Russian civic identity, patriotism, a sense of responsibility to the Motherland”, “ideological conviction, readiness to serve and protect the Motherland, responsibility for its fate.”
In Belarus, the authorities have recently taken seriously the military-patriotic upbringing of children. Since the beginning of the 2022 academic year, almost 20 military-patriotic clubs have been created for schoolchildren, and the position of a special military-patriotic educator has been introduced in schools. Preschool educational institutions are also actively engaged in “patriotic education” of children: they hold meetings of children with Orthodox priests and take them to churches, conduct “patriotic events”, including with the participation of the BRSM, police, riot police, prosecutors and military personnel.
