Russians will see the parade of planets – MK

by time news

Until January 7, a parade of planets can be observed in the night sky – almost all of them will line up. Only Mars will not “take part” in the astronomical phenomenon, astronomers report.

Uranus and Neptune will not be visible to the naked eye, but telescope owners will be able to see them. Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto will be more visible. The best time to observe the planets is from 16:00 to 18:00 Moscow time.

On the night of January 3–4, the Russians will be able to watch the Quadrantida starfall in case of suitable weather conditions. Like many other meteor showers, the Quadrantids are named after the constellation “in the background” of which the shooting stars will be visible, but today the constellation that gave it its name, Wall Quadrant, is not used in astronomy. Thus, the Quadrantid radiant is located in the constellation Bootes in the northeastern part of the sky horizon throughout Russia.
