Kiev, Ukraine – Volodymyr Zelensky rules out any role in the death of paramilitary forces leader Wagner. The Ukrainian head of state who counted with his Portuguese and Lithuanian counterparts to mark independence day today, with the Russian invasion continuing for a year and a half.

On Independence Day, Volodymyr Zelensky rehearsed a unity speech against the invaders. “We know how we’re going to win them, and we’re going to win“, said the Ukrainian President on the morning of Independence Day.
Zelensky recalled that this unit did not always exist over time and had no problem pointing out problems with the shortcomings in the defense apparatus until February 2022.
The day is also marked by the special operation in Crimea, by the Ukrainian intelligence services, as confirmed by President Zelensky to Portuguese journalists at the press conference after the meeting with Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the Portuguese President visiting Kiev.
This happens the day after the announced death of Prigozhine, the president of Ukraine stated that he has nothing to do with the event and joked that when he asked for air resources it would not be for that purpose.
