Russia will transfer the Ekran-M satellite and technological systems to Kazakhstan

by time news

Telecommunication satellite “Ekran-M” and three technological systems located at the Baikonur cosmodrome, Russia can transfer to Kazakhstan. This was reported to RIA Novosti with reference to its own source.

It is specified that Ekran-M, a universal control and test complex and remote control systems for refueling and other systems will be transferred within the framework of the previously planned withdrawal from the lease of objects that are not in use.

The source clarified that this satellite was not launched, since the system of similar vehicles in orbit was already working properly. At the moment Ekran-M fully complies with the requirements and is ready for launch and operation in orbit.

Let us recall that in December last year, Russia and Kazakhstan agreed and worked out the conditions for the withdrawal from lease of unused objects of the Baiterek space rocket complex (KRK).
