Hyderabad: The CPM party congress will be held in Kannur from April 6 to 10. The Central Committee approved the draft political resolution. Sitaram Yachury said the primary objective was to defeat the BJP. The necessary stand will be taken for this in the Assembly elections. Yachury was speaking after the Central Committee meeting in Hyderabad.
SP will be supported in UP. In India, regional alliances are practical. Yachury said the situation in each state and the influence of the parties were different.
Meanwhile, at the national level, the Central Committee approved the draft of the CPM political resolution rejecting the Congress alliance. After the grassroots discussion, the party congress will consider the political resolution. The election strategy against the BJP will be decided at the state level. The CPM had earlier decided in the PB that there was no need to form an alliance with the Congress at the national level.
