The joy of Terem Moffi and the people of Nice GONZALO FUENTES / REUTERS
Led by a great Terem Moffi, the Aiglons laid down the law against Paris (2-3) at the Parc des Princes, Friday, at the opening of the 5th day.
One of fall. After two draws and two victories, Luis Enrique’s PSG lost to Nice (2-3) this Friday, at the Parc des Princes, at the opening of the fifth day of Ligue 1. First defeat which comes at a bad time four days entry into the Champions League… Especially since the victory of the Aiglons is (very) logical. Aiglons led by a great Terem Moffi, author of a double and a decisive pass. Moffi took the opportunity to alert Donnarumma (11th). He hit the mark 10 minutes later after a high recovery from Todibo at the feet of a (too) adventurous Mbappé (0-1, 21st). Ball blocked before reaching the Nigerian, and after his strike. Thuram made Donnarumma shine (26th) but the Nice goal had the merit of waking up the Parisians, and Dembélé, in legs… but not (at all) in success (17th, 28th, 38th). An illness from which Mbappé did not suffer, ruthless in cutting a cross from Hakimi (1-1, 29th). A scare when said Mbappé was treated after hitting the upright (38th), chills with these strikes from Mbappé (44th) and Lotomba (45+3) and it was the break (1-1 MT).

As at the start of the first period, the Aiglons pressed loud and clear from the restart. And they quickly exploded on the counter, like Moffi who had fun with Danilo before crossing for Laborde (1-2, 53rd). Soler lost the ball at the start of this action. Vitinha lost the ball on the one where Donnarumma saved the red and blue house in one-on-one against Diop (54th). The entries of Ugarte and Kolo Muani (64th) clearly brought a plus. Barcola was also launched (67th). Simple optical effect. Short-lived illusion. It was indeed Moffi who took the light, taking advantage of the apathy of the Parisian defense to deceive Donnarumma from the edge of the area (1-3, 68th). The Nigerian was upset while brandishing his jersey in front of the public, which had the gift of annoying Donnarumma and the Parisians. The Italian was undoubtedly also frustrated by the passivity of his defense…
Like this failed check by Mbappé (74th), PSG continued to stammer in its football. Which Mbappé was very discreet in the second half. He was not the only one. Danilo countered a ball that seemed to be going well (90th), but the pressure was on Paris in these final minutes. The Park was pushing hard, in this evening marked by the moving tribute to Marco Verratti, transferred to Qatar. Alas, it was the Niçois who had the last word (2-3 final score). And again, Guessand, thwarted by Donnarumma, was not far from the 4-2 goal in the very last seconds…
The Classic is coming in a week
No doubt with heavy heads after this disappointment, the Parisians will now turn their attention to the Champions League and the reception of Dortmund on Tuesday (9 p.m.), at the Parc des Princes. And this before continuing with the Classic against OM on Sunday (8:45 p.m.). Quite a program… If they are not involved in Europe, the Niçois have their sights set on a derby against AS Monaco next Friday (9 p.m.), at Louis II. Corsica. Great posters in sight for both teams. One thing is certain: attractive, the Niçois struck a big blow this Friday evening on Parisian soil. Luis Enrique’s Parisians still have work to do before getting to know the European summits.
