The United States does not intend to make decisions regarding Ukraine without discussing with it, said US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman. So she answered the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emina Dzhaparova, who said that Kiev trusts Washington. She made this statement against the background of negotiations between the United States and the Russian Federation, which took place in Geneva.
Ms Sherman noted that the United States always takes into account the opinion of its allies. “The United States is connected at every level with its allies and partners, including Ukraine, and this will continue in the coming days and weeks. We say: nothing about you and without you. We will not make decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine “, – wrote the US Deputy Secretary of State in Twitter.
The talks between Russia and the United States took place the day before, January 10. Their main topic was the proposals on security guarantees voiced by Moscow. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the negotiations difficult, the United States considered them sincere and frank. The Kremlin believes that so far there is no reason for optimism in the dialogue with Washington.
