Xbox CEO Phil Spencer spoke about the leak of the new Xbox Series X console and the criticism the company has received. The images appeared on the internet this week. Today, several documents filed in court proceedings related to our proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard were involuntarily released. I know this is disappointing, even though many of the documents are over a year old and our plans have evolved.
I also know that we all take the confidentiality of our plans and our partners’ information very seriously. This leak obviously doesn’t mean we’re living up to that expectation. We will learn from what happened and we will be better from now on.
We all put incredible amounts of passion and energy into our work and we never want that hard work to be shared with the community. That said, there’s a lot more to be excited about, and when we’re ready, we’ll share the actual plans with our players.
In closing, I thank you for all the work you put into the Xbox team to surprise and delight our players. In the days and weeks ahead, let’s stay focused on what we can control: continuing the incredible success of ‘Starfield,’ the next release of the incredible and accessible ‘Forza Motorsport,’ and continuing to build games, services, and devices that millions of gamers can enjoy .

The new design and new features of the Xbox Series X console were leaked this week in documents from Federal Trade Comission (FTC);According to the images, the updated console will have a cylindrical shape and will not come with a physical media reader, just like the digital version of the rival PlayStation 5;According to the documents, the model will have 2 TB of internal storage (double of the current Series mil);The new version of the console will also have a front USB-C port with power supply and a redesigned joystick.
