The troupe gathered at the Moscow Drama Theater “Modern”

The capital’s theaters are holding training camps one after another, revealing their plans for the new season. So, in August we learned that the theater “At the Nikitsky Gate” would stage a triptych based on the works of Chekhov, and the Provincial Theater promised the audience the performances “The Golden Key” (based on the classic fairy tale by A.N. Tolstoy) and “Family Picture” based on Ostrovsky. The Moscow Drama Theater “Modern” was no exception, where the troupe also gathered on September 22 on the eve of the 36th season. This event was attended by a correspondent and photojournalist from MK.

The artistic director of Moderna, director Yuri Grymov, opening the meeting, introduced the newly arrived artists to the theater staff and introduced them to the new director, who became Alexander Benish. Grymov also answered the question of what we will see in the new season, except for the production “We Don’t Need Flowers” presented to the public (directed by Yuri Vyacheslavovich himself, author of the play – Nadezhda Selivanova) about two decades of the twentieth century (1946-1966), which shook world.

So, in the near future “Modern” will release the third part of the trilogy “Antichrist and Christ” – “Judas”, this will happen in the last days of October. The theater is also preparing to show its vision of Julierne’s adventure novel “Around the World in 80 Days” and two more premieres – “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” (author of the play – Marina Sulchani) and “Veronica Decides to Die” (the literary basis here is the acclaimed book by Paolo Coelho ).

It also became known that on September 28, Grymov will begin a series of original lectures, introducing listeners to the Renaissance.
