The President of the National Assembly received by the Head of State, Brice Oligui Nguema

Libreville, September 22, 2023 – General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, President of the Transition, Head of State received today in audience Mr. Jean François Ndongou, President of the National Assembly of the Transition.
At the head of the National Assembly since September 11, the president of the lower house of Parliament took advantage of this meeting to express to the Head of State his deep gratitude for the trust and choice placed in his person to lead the said institution.
He also discussed with the President of the Transition issues related to the functioning of the National Assembly, in particular the organization of work, precisely the revision of the number of commissions which could go from 8 under the 13th legislature to 5 commissions while integrating priority issues relating to sustainable development and the environment.
The new President of the National Assembly also proposed an increase in the number of deputies from political parties within the institution for optimal treatment of political issues.
Furthermore, the Head of State spoke with Messrs. Richard Auguste Onouviet and Paul Toungui, former dignitaries of the Republic as part of the consultations initiated with the active forces of the Nation since the establishment of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI).
Honored to have been received by the President of the Transition, the two personalities were edified on the process of the Transition as well as its objectives. At the end of this audience with the Head of State, General Brice Oligui Nguema, they expressed the desire to support him throughout this process.
