(LaPresse) Iran said Wednesday that it had successfully launched a satellite into orbit. This was reported by the state news agency IRNA, which quoted Communications Minister Issa Zarepour. Zarepour said the Noor-3 satellite was put into orbit 450 kilometers above the Earth’s surface and that the carrier was launched by the aerospace arm of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.
