Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarchic. This was reported by the press service of the Government.
The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Lenarchic’s visit to Armenia in a difficult situation and noted that in order to overcome the crisis caused by the forced displacement of more than 100 thousand of our compatriots in Nagorno Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan’s policy of ethnic cleansing, the support of the international community, including financial, is also needed. Nikol Pashinyan added that he had fruitful discussions with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Granada regarding the assessment of existing needs and further assistance.
Yanez Lenarchic once again emphasized the commitment of the EU to provide assistance to the Government of Armenia and the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh in order to alleviate and overcome the created problems.
