Technical education and vocational training schools opened their doors this Monday, October 9, 2023 throughout the national territory. An opening which mobilized all members of the government.

At CFP Maritime and CFP Donka, it was the Minister of ETFPE, Mr. Alpha Bacar Barry and his counterpart for Planning and International Cooperation, Ms. Rose Pola Pricemou who chaired this start of the school year.

Facing the learners, the Minister, Ms. Rose Pola Pricemou, reassured the government’s commitment to making TVET a lever for development. To achieve this, she invited everyone to show greater commitment and professionalism. “You are the agents on whom we count for the development of this country. This is why we rely on the professionalism of everyone to ensure quality service to our fellow citizens. So, we want to make TVET cutting-edge training,” she asked while saluting the leadership of the minister, Alpha Bacar Barry, who was able, in a short time, to revolutionize TVET.

For his part, the Minister, Alpha Bacar Barry, warmly thanked his counterpart for the trip while insisting on the fact that this 2023-2024 school year will be a year of practice in all schools.

“This year will be a year of practice. This is why she mobilized the entire government. It is also a year of quality where there will be control of the workforce, capacity building of trainers as well as equipment in the different schools,” explained the minister.
