Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested in the Dominican Republic for Alleged Assault on Love Rival

Tekashi 6ix9ine, the controversial rapper, has once again found himself in legal trouble, this time allegedly attempting to flee the Dominican Republic after being accused of orchestrating an assault on a love rival. The arrest was captured on video, showing Hernandez being led away by authorities as a crowd watched and recorded the scene.

The assault in question involved two music producers and was reportedly connected to Hernandez’s girlfriend, Dominican singer Yailin La mas viral. One of the victims claimed that the attack was prompted by Hernandez’s jealousy over his relationship with Yailin. The alleged assault itself was not captured on video, but footage showed a group of men entering a building before quickly leaving a few minutes later.

Hernandez, known for his distinctive appearance including colorful hair and a ’69’ tattoo on his forehead, has a history of legal issues. He previously faced a racketeering case and was accused of using a violent gang as a personal hit squad. However, he received a reduced sentence of about two years after cooperating and testifying against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, earning him the reputation of a “snitch.”

According to Dominican Republic-based criminal lawyer Felix Portes, Hernandez had attempted to flee the country in a private jet but was stopped due to a migration alert triggered by an arrest warrant. He was arrested in the town of Samana and will be transferred to La Vega to face the assault charges.

This is not the first time Hernandez has faced violence. Last year, he was beaten up inside an LA Fitness gym in Florida, resulting in severe injuries requiring hospital treatment. The attackers filmed the assault and posted videos online, calling Hernandez a “rat.” He has been the subject of numerous feuds and enemies throughout his career.

Hernandez’s popularity took a hit in 2018 when he cooperated with prosecutors to reduce his potential prison sentence. He was facing a minimum of 47 years, and potentially a life sentence, for charges including racketeering, firearm possession, armed robbery, and attempted murder. The plea deal drew criticism from the rap community, but Hernandez ended up serving just two years, which he spent in a private jail for his own safety.

Despite his legal troubles, Hernandez achieved commercial success in 2018 with hit songs like “Fefe” featuring Nicki Minaj and “Stoopid” featuring Bobby Shmurda. His antics and confrontational style have made him a polarizing figure in the music industry, and it remains to be seen how these latest allegations will impact his career.
