Anthony Fauci argues for an investigation into the origins of the coronavirus by saying he “is not convinced” that it developed naturally. “Certainly the people who investigated say that it probably emerged from an animal reserve and then infected individuals – he continued referring to the hypothesis on the origins of the virus – but it could also be something different and we have to find out”. “This is the reason – he concluded – why I say I am absolutely in favor of any investigation into the origin of the virus”.
Fauci’s statements come after the Wall Street Journal revealed an American intelligence report that three researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in November 2019 were hospitalized with symptoms attributable to Covid.
