From October 30 to 31, 2023, the delegation of the RA SRC, led by SRC Deputy Chairman Ashot Muradyan, is participating in the annual “International Customs Forum-2023” held in Moscow. The event is traditionally attended by the delegations of the EAEU and CIS member states, as well as the customs services of a number of countries. “International Customs Forum-2023” provides an opportunity for representatives of customs services, state bodies and business environment to get acquainted with the new achievements of the customs field, to contribute to the further development of the international customs field, as well as to create and strengthen partnership relations in the field of customs cooperation.
Within the framework of the event, on October 30, during the panel session entitled “Acceleration of cross-border transactions, the key to the development of Russia’s new international trade”, Ashot Muradyan, the deputy chairman of the RA SRC, also spoke. During the speech, the deputy chairman of the SRC, emphasizing the importance of the large-scale works carried out within the framework of the expansion of “digital services” for foreign trade participants, presented the program development of the State Revenue Committee regarding the authorization documents used in the Republic of Armenia, which is fully implemented in the national “One Window” in the field of foreign trade of the Republic of Armenia. within the framework of the platform, including all national departments and export centers dealing with the issuance of authorization documents. The mentioned software development enables the participants of foreign economic activities to apply for authorization documents exclusively online and receive the requested document without appearing in any state body, which is an important reform in the field of business environment in the context of simplifying the procedures of foreign economic activities.
Within the framework of the event, a bilateral meeting was also held between the Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Muradyan and the Deputy Head of the Customs Service of the Islamic Republic of Iran Foroud Asgari.
At the meeting, a number of issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation and partnership in the customs sector were discussed, including issues related to the initial electronic data exchange between the parties and complex border management. The parties also referred to the key directions of the comprehensive reforms implemented in the customs sector, emphasizing in this context the prospects for the development of customs cooperation between the customs bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
