Fire departments collect aid for Romania and Ukraine

For the 31st time, Romania Aid Vorst and the fire departments in the Viersen district, the Kleve district and Krefeld are collecting donations together to support people in Romania. This year, however, everything is a little different when food, clothing and toys are again handed out to the fire departments’ equipment sheds on Saturday, November 18th. The reason is the turmoil in Ukraine surrounding the war initiated by Russia. “The people there are currently suffering the most in Europe. That’s why we decided to give a large part of the donations there,” explains the chairman of Romania Aid, Hans Holtschoppen.
