The Head of State receives a special envoy from his counterpart from Equatorial Guinea

Libreville, November 8, 2023 – The President of the Transition, President of the Republic, Head of State, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema received this day in audience Mr. Lucas Abaga Nchama, Guinean Minister of the Presidency of the Government, Charge of regional integration, Bearer of a message from His Excellency Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea to his Gabonese counterpart.
This meeting, which takes place within the framework of regular consultations between the two brotherly countries, was an opportunity for the Head of State and the Guinean envoy to take stock of bilateral cooperation relations between Libreville and Malabo.
It was also an opportunity to define strategies allowing the consolidation and diversification of trade between the two States. Sub-regional and international issues were also discussed during this interview.
Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, which share views on security and development issues, intend to raise their relations to a higher level.
As a reminder, the Head of State, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema made working and friendship visits to the sister Republic of Equatorial Guinea last September and October. Visits during which he spoke face-to-face with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart.
