On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, we are taking stock of this chronic disease. Characterized by the presence of excess sugar in the blood, called hyperglycemia, diabetes affects more than 500 million people worldwide. A figure that has increased sharply in recent years, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

Why is it essential to improve awareness and screening? What are the different types of diabetes? What are the complications of diabetes? How to prevent them?
