Two Givati soldiers, Capt. (res.) Arnon Moshe Avraham Benvansti and Sgt. Ilya Sankin, fell in battles in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday. The two soldiers were from the Givati Brigade and were seriously injured during the fighting.
Captain (res.) Arnon Moshe Avraham Benbenesti Vespi, 26 years old, was a combat officer in the Givati Patrol, while Sergeant Ilya Sankin, 20 years old, was a fighter in the Rotem Regiment, Givati Brigade. In addition to the two fatalities, two reservists in the 699th Battalion, 551st Brigade, and a combat officer in the 17th Battalion, Bislam Brigade, were seriously injured during the battle.
Furthermore, a fighter from the 46th Battalion and a fighter from the 52nd Battalion, both part of the 401st Brigade, were also seriously injured in the fighting. All the injured fighters were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families have been informed of the situation.
