Honored Artist of Russia Natalia Dmitrieva died at the age of 78 after a long illness. The actress served at the Youth Theater on Fontanka for more than 40 years.

The actress was especially remembered by theater audiences for her roles in Vladimir Malyshchitsky’s plays “One Hundred Brothers of the Bestuzhevs”, “And the Day Lasts Longer than a Century”, “Dialogues”, in productions by Efim Padve “Five Corners”, “Music Sounded in the Garden”. She was also involved in “The Threepenny Opera”, “Three Sisters”, “Lark” and other works. Filmgoers remember Dmitrieva for her role as Varvara in the film “Bumbarash” by Nikolai Rasheev and Abram Narodnitsky, Lyudmila in “A Walk Worthy of Men” by Anatoly Vekhotko, Victoria in “Leaving, Going Away” by Viktor Tregubovich and other films. Over the years of her career, the artist has starred in several dozen films. The actress also collaborated for many years with the Arts Lyceum, where she staged performances with students based on her scripts.
