Saudi Arabia and Brazil Sign Agreement for Bilateral Cooperation in Energy Sector

Jeddah: Saudi Arabia and Brazil have come together to strengthen their collaboration in the energy sector as they signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for bilateral cooperation.

The MoU was signed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy for Saudi Arabia, and Alexander Silveira, Minister of Energy and Mines for Brazil.

The signing of the agreement came after talks between Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The two leaders held a meeting and discussion at Riyadh Al-Mamah Palace where they analyzed the relations between the two countries, the best investment opportunities available in Saudi Arabia and Brazil, as well as new developments in the region and at the global level.

The bilateral summit events were attended by several ministers including Minister of State Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar, Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of State and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaad Al-Iban, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Khasabi, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdurrahman Alfadli, Minister of Investment Engineer Khalid Alfalih, Minister of Finance Mohammad Al-Jadaan, and Saudi Ambassador to Brazil Faisal Ghulam.

The signing of the MoU between Saudi Arabia and Brazil marks an important step in fortifying their cooperation in the energy sector and paves the way for further collaborative efforts in the future.
