Indian Woman Returns from Pakistan After Meeting Husband Through Facebook

Anju, a 34-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh, has returned to India from Pakistan after meeting her husband through Facebook. Last July, she traveled to Pakistan to meet Nasrullah, a man she met on the social media platform, and subsequently married him.

The news of their marriage came to light when Nasrullah revealed that there was no love between them. It was also reported that Anju converted to Islam and now goes by the name Fatima after marrying Nasrullah. She had visited Pakistan on a 30-day visa last July.

Nasrullah hails from Gulsho village in the Upper Dir district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, where Anju also lived. After being interrogated, Anju flew to Delhi from Amritsar following her return from Pakistan through the Wagah border.

In India, Anju is married to a man named Arvind and has two children with him. However, she married Nasrullah in Pakistan. Nasrullah expressed his struggle of not being able to see his children, which led him to visit India in September.

The unique love story and cross-border marriage have gathered attention in both India and Pakistan, shedding a light on the complexities of relationships formed through social media and cultural differences between the two nations.
