“We want to celebrate that we are alive, that we are still there, that we want to be 125 years old, that we want to celebrate that we are still faithful to what distinguishes us from the other clubs in the world,” Carabén explained in reading the manifesto that establishes the conceptual framework of the acts that have been devised.

“The ones that distinguish Barça”, specified Carabén, “it is not a desire for originality”, that could be found in “the model of ownership by members, increasingly exceptional” compared to the other large clubs in the power of oligarchs, millionaires and governments. Or in the multi-sports vocation of the entity that results in “There is no single way of being at Barça.”
The sign of distinction, Carabén concluded, is that Barça, throughout a century and a quarter, preserves one of the football ideas of its founders, developed from and through the dozens of world figures who have dressed as Barça: “We have wanted the ball for 125 years.”
The ball as a symbol
And that ball is the central object of the logo of the entity to frame the commemorative events that will lead to November 29, 2024 with the return of the first team to the still unfinished Camp Nou.
