Be careful if you have recently purchased bacon from Carrefour. Carrefour Classic brand bacon is currently the subject of a recall due to a risk of listeriosis and salmonellosis, indicates the government website Consumption reminder.

Two different products are affected by this recall: plain bacon -30% salt and -50% fat (product code: 3560071420185) and smoked bacon -30% salt and -50% fat (product code: 3560071420215). The batches were sold throughout France in the form of two 75 g packets.

Return them to the point of sale

Plain bacon was marketed between November 8 and November 27, 2023. Smoked bacon between November 8 and December 1, 2023. Their expiration date is December 22. Conso Reminder invites consumers not to consume these bacon bits and to return them to the point of sale.

If you have eaten it and you have a fever, headache, body aches or gastrointestinal problems, you should consult your doctor and report this consumption. “Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks,” indicates the government platform.
