The touching story of Hans Christian Andersen “The Lead Soldier” is presented by the Theater Stage of the “Therapeutoi” Artistic Association, in a show entitled “The Lead Soldier & the Paper Ballerina”, the theatrical adaptation of which has been made by Dimitris Pappas.
D. Pappas signs both the direction and the original musical compositions, which will be performed live on stage. Performed by Lefteris Vanousis (Lead Soldier), Eleni Mavrou (Paper Ballerina) and with them Spyros Sioutas, Dimitris Tsiouris, Byron Papaioannou, Filippos Pappas, Vasso Panagi, Niki Papanikolaou, Katerina Papliakou, Sotiris Skarimbas, Angeliki Koutsothanasis and Dimitris Papas pas. Dimitris Pappas (conductor, guitar), Spyros Sioutas (violin), Aris Saprikis (xylophone), Katerina Papliakou (metal player), Dimitris Tsiouris (ukulele), Maria Papasarafianou (piano) and Angeliki Koutsothanasis (percussion) play and sing.
Scenography and lighting by Angeliki Koutsothanasis and Lefteris Vanousis, costumes and poster design by Varvara Varakas, choreography by Eleni Mavrou and Vasso Panagi.
“The Lead Soldier & the Paper Ballerina” premiered last Sunday and will be followed by two more performances on Sundays 10 and 17 December, at 11.30 am, at the Theater of Stoas Orfea.
