Kumarapalayam Students Shine in National and International Yoga Competitions
The students of Kumarapalayam Yoga Aravind Training Center have achieved remarkable success in national and international level yoga competitions, bringing pride to Tamil Nadu and India.
In the recently held National Level Yoga Competitions in Goa, the team from Tamil Nadu, including 25 students from Kumarapalayam Yoga Aravind Training Center and their coach Madhumita, outshined the competition by winning 13 gold medals, 12 silver medals, and 10 bronze medals. Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the international competition.
In a historic moment for Tamil Nadu, Iniyaharshini, a student from the team, secured the women’s championship, further highlighting the team’s exceptional talent. Chief Coach Arvind and other dignitaries have applauded the students for their hard work and dedication.
The journey continued with the International Yoga Competition in Thailand, where Madhumita, representing Aravind Yoga Training Center, Kumarapalayam, made a mark by winning medals in five categories and earning the prestigious title of International Yoga Judge. Madhumita has been appointed as a yoga trainer for the upcoming national level yoga competition in Goa, where 25 students from Aravind Yoga Training Center will be participating.
The success story doesn’t end there. In the Asian Yoga Competitions held in Bangkok, Thailand, the students of Kumarapalayam Aravind Yoga Training Center emerged victorious once again. Out of the 25 students representing Tamil Nadu, they secured the championship title for the second time, under the guidance of Arvind, General Secretary of Tamil Nadu Yoga Federation and Selector of India Yoga Team.
The achievements of the Kumarapalayam students in the field of yoga have garnered praise from all corners, with councilors and municipal chairman Vijaykannan commending their exceptional performance.
