Iran Executes Alleged Mossad Agent in Southeastern Province

According to a report from the official news agency IRNA, Iran has claimed to have executed an alleged agent of the Israeli Mossad in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan in the southeast of the country.

The report stated, “This person was in contact with foreign services, including the Israeli Mossad, engaged in collecting classified information, and provided documents to those foreign services, through associates.”

Last month, Iranian media also reported that alleged Mossad agents were caught in a mountainous area on the border of Iran and Afghanistan. It was claimed in the report that these individuals were preparing to launch a drone attack on several targets in Iran from Afghanistan. The alleged agents will be transferred to Iran for investigation.

This report is the latest in a series of publications in recent months claiming that agents working with the Mossad inside Iran have been exposed. Last July, Iranian authorities reported that they had succeeded in disbanding “a cell associated with the Israeli Mossad.” The report stated that the security mechanisms in the country had arrested members of the cell who were scattered in several cities in the Islamic Republic.

Meanwhile, journalist Barak Ravid revealed last night that the head of the Mossad, Dedi Barnea, is expected to meet with the Prime Minister of Qatar in an attempt to start a new prisoner deal. The meeting is expected to take place in one of the European countries.
