St. Petersburg Geological University VSEGEI, founded back in 1882, changed name and became the Karpinsky Institute.

The address of the institute, as well as its website, remains the same. But the logo and sign of the institution have changed.

The press service of the institute said that the logo changed six months ago, without commenting on other versions associated with the former well-known short name of the institute.
